Why I Love What I Do

I was passionate about wanting a career that would allow me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and provide me with the flexibility to care for my family so in 1998 I began my career at Freedom 55 Financial. I thoroughly enjoy helping my clients reach their goals by developing wealth management plans leading to their long-term financial success. In July 2011, I incorporated my financial business as Soterra Financial Group Ltd. to continue to build a financial advisory practice that would thrive on the value and promise of Building the Foundation for Your Future.

How I Enjoy Working with Others

When people don’t have a financial or retirement plan, it can be difficult for them to reach their goals. My great passion is helping people feel secure with their financial situations. I help and guide my clients by taking a look at where they are now and where they want to be. Once I understand the unique definition of their financial foundation, I develop a comprehensive wealth management plan to help them achieve their dreams so they can experience financial peace of mind.

I take the time to really listen to what matters most to my clients and make them feel comfortable by answering all of their questions. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, family or business, so every client receives a customized plan for their personal situation. I have earned my Certified Financial Planning designation and have completed a Business Owners Specialist course in order to provide my clients with the most professional advice.

What Else Am I Passionate About?

I have lived in Saskatoon for more than 40 years and I enjoy being part of Saskatoon’s vibrant community. Outside of my work, my husband and I spend time with our children and grandchildren. We love living in Saskatoon and have been involved in this vibrant community for more than 35 years. When I’m not spending time with family, you can find me cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, curling, golfing, or walking.

Why I Love What I Do…

I am proud to call Saskatchewan my home. The foundation of this province is built on the strong values lived by generations before me, which I embody. Work hard, be a good neighbor, and look after your family and friends; Do the right thing.

We build our lives on the foundation laid by those before us. It is from there we find the integrity and strength to navigate through life transitions. Some are enormously challenging, like the death of our loved ones, caring for others, unexpected career or life changes. Some on the other hand provide us with exciting opportunities to build and solidify our future, such as preparing for retirement or leaving a legacy. This is the place where I most love to work, and where I feel I make a difference. I listen closely, seek to understand each client's unique situation, and answer questions. From there I create a customized financial plan for the individual client. I’m intensely passionate about this and have devoted my time to obtain meaningful education and designations, such as the Certified Financial Planner, Registered Retirement Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter.

How I Enjoy Working with Others

I meet people where they are, in the heart of their situation, and in the place that fits best for them, around the kitchen table, in the field at harvest, at the jobsite, or at the office. The work happens where it needs to happen. The people with whom I work with, say they leave feeling optimistic about their future, focused with a financial plan tailored to their specific needs and free to turn their time and attention to whatever is important to them.

I’m proud to be described as someone who walks their talk, a real, tell it like it is person, who loves a good laugh, is well respected in community and business, and ferociously loyal to her people. The foundational values of this province, to do the right thing, run deep and wide within me. It’s why I’ll always be a prairie girl at heart. Saskatchewan is home, it’s where my people are.

Why I Love What I Do…

I take pride in calling Saskatoon my home, having been born and raised in Saskatoon.  Despite living here my entire life, I have seen first-hand the adversities my parents had to overcome as first-generation immigrants to Canada.  I understand the value of time and money, and due to my families personal experience, I decided to pursue a career in the financial services to help others understand the importance of financial planning.

Since starting my practice in 2008, I have been passionately dedicated to helping clients build, grow and protect their wealth one family at a time.  Today, I am just as passionate and inspired about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I work with – helping them create financial stability and prosperity.  I look forward to maintaining trusting and long-lasting relationships with my clients.

How I Enjoy Working with Others

I thoroughly enjoy bringing my clients through our comprehensive financial planning process to ensure they are fully aware of how to achieve their goals from a wealth and risk management perspective. I especially enjoy working with those who understand, value, and are committed to the financial planning process because it is the cornerstone of achieving financial peace of mind.

I started off my career and continue to be highly motivated and passionate about helping people plan and achieve their goals.  I love doing what I do!

Why I Love What I Do…

I take great pride in creating a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients – and I firmly believe it’s paying attention to the small things that has the biggest impact on creating financial stability and future prosperity.

I especially enjoy seeing the impact my work has on the quality of their life – whether it is helping them fund education for their children, sleeping better at night because Ts are crossed and Is are dotted, working toward achieving financial independence, navigating significant life events, or celebrating retirement. It’s why I do what I do.

How I Enjoy Working with Others

For the past 23 years as a Financial Security Advisor, I’ve enjoyed providing my clients with solutions to various aspects of their wealth management which involves having a clear understanding of their financial security planning, investment management, risk management, estate planning, and wealth management goals. This includes working alongside business owners and individuals with their group benefits and group retirement plans.

Today I continue to be passionately committed to helping my clients simplify, organize and coordinate all aspects of their wealth so they can focus on what matters most to them. I help take the complexity away.
